34th Season opens in Westchester and Fairfield counties

The Pro Arte Singers will begin their 34th season this October with a program offered in two locations.  On Saturday evening at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, and on Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church of New Canaan.  Tickets are good for entrance to either performance.

This opening concert will feature Scandanavian Masters of the 19th and 20th Centuries, and will include Trees by Lars Johan Werle, Gustav Mahler's Ich bin der Welt, and Johannes Brahms Quartette opus 64.  We will also be performing Negro Spirituals from A Child of our Time by Michael Tippett.

Single concert tickets at $25, or $20 for seniors and students, will be available at the door. Four-concert season subscriptions at $90, or $65 for seniors and students, are also available.

The Pro Arte Singers, distinguished as the region’s only choral group composed entirely of professional singers, is a non-profit ensemble, supported in part by private contributions and public grants including one from the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
